Handle the Blueye underwater drone with care. Do not throw the drone into the water when launching or drop it onto hard surfaces as this may damage sensitive electronic components in the drone.
Do not attempt to insert foreign objects into the device.
Always make sure the battery cap is closed and secured before diving. The charger and the remote controller are not waterproof and need to be kept away from water and dust.
The surface unit is splash-proof (IP54). The surface unit cannot be submerged in water.
Transport and storing
Under transport and when storing the drone, we advise you to use the carrying box and dry bags for the protection of your device and equipment. The drone and equipment contain sensitive electronic components that may be damaged if dropped from heights, cracked, bent or exposed to extreme temperatures.
If traveling by airplane with the Blueye underwater drone, please read and follow the airline safety guidelines and rules for traveling with batteries and/or drones.
Read "Travelling by airplane" for more information or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you need assistance.
Attention: Always evaluate conditions and perform a risk assessment before diving.
Using the Blueye underwater drone can be distracting and may possibly cause dangerous situations if not careful. When using the MovieMask, visual of the surroundings is impossible. We advise you to be seated/stand in a safe position when diving with the MovieMask. Having assistance to coordinate tether and control the environment is advised when diving in challenging conditions.
Always turn off the motor on the boat before launching the Blueye drone into the water. Make sure the boat is secured and still either to shore or by an anchor.
Never try to conduct repairs or open the aluminum housing in your drone. Disassembling the aluminum housing in your device may damage the drone resulting in leaks or cause injury to you. If you need service or repair on your drone, please contact email@example.com for help.
When the battery pack is not in use, store the battery in a safe environment away from metal objects.
Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified.
The Smart Battery should only be repaired or replaced by qualified personnel. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for further assistance.
Only charge the Blueye Smart Battery with the supplied charger. Before charging the drone make sure the inside of the charging connector is dry and clean. We recommend charging the drone with the charging connector (battery inside the drone) as much as possible to limit the wear of the O-rings on the aluminum battery cap.
Charging of the Surface Unit and the remote controller is done with a MicroUSB. We recommend using the included MicroUSB when charging devices. If lost or in need of additional, email email@example.com for spare or for more information on using third-party cables.
The charger and the remote controller are NOT waterproof and need to be kept away from water and dust.
Don't expose the Blueye underwater drone to extreme heat or cold. The drones are designed to be used in temperatures between -5° and +40° C (23° and 104° F).
