Warning: Always perform a proper risk assessment and evaluate the conditions at dive location before you launch the Blueye underwater drone into the water. Read the Prepare for launch articles for more detail information. |
The Blueye underwater drones are designed to be easy to deploy into the water - both from shore and from a boat.
Diving from shore
When launching from shore (jetty, waterside, pram, dock, etc.), be sure to stand in a stable position.
Having secured your tether bag and connected your drone, you are ready to launch.
- Lower the drone slowly into the water using;
- Top handle
- Boathook
Lower the drone slowly into the water by the top handle. A boat hook can also be used from heights.
It is not recommended to lower the drone by the tether as this will shorten the lifetime of the tether.
DO NOT throw the drone into the water.
