Step 1: Remove the rubber feedthrough from the reel. Do not throw away.
Step 2: Take the tether out of the bag (if applicable).Disconnect the surface unit connector from the surface unit connector from the Surface unit. Make sure to screw only on the serrated metal body.
Step 3: Install the rubber feedthrough onto the tether without removing the connector.
Pay attention to the installation direction.
Step 4: Guide the tether connector through the hole in the reel and reinstall the rubber feedthrough into the reel.
Step 5: Install the rubber grommet onto the tether. The grommet flange should point towards the hole in the reel.
Step 6: Install the strain relief with the two 3.3x22 mm screws clamping onto the rubber grommet. The flange of the grommet should sit close to the feedthrough.
Keep approximately 30 cm of cable length for connection to the surface unit.
Step 7: Install the surface unit bracket to the reel with a 5x25 mm Philips head screw. The orientation should be according to the illustration below.
Step 8: Connect the surface unit connector to the Surface unit. Make sure to screw only on the serrated metal body.
Step 9: Install the surface unit into the reel cover. The antennas must be pointing straight upwards. Apply even force on the snaplocks and push until properly snapped in place.
The Surface unit connector should be facing to the left.
Step 10: Install the disc unit onto the reel. Use three 5x25 mm Philips head screws and tighten lightly.
Step 11: Reel the tether onto the reel. Make sure to guide the tether to distribute it evenly on the reel.
Step 12: Attach the magnet strap onto the reel handle and insert the magnet into the buckle.
Reel assembly completed.
