Please make sure to consider these points below while diving during winter.
- When the temperature is low, condensation might form in the tip of the dome. Keeping the Blueye drone on/warm, then putting it straight into water might help.
- The battery on the drone won't charge if the temperature is below 5 degrees Celsius. Keep in mind that its aluminium, so it might take some time to heat up indoors before charging)
- The surface unit batteries will not work when the temperature is below -20 degrees Celsius. Remember to turn it on indoors so that it stays nice and toasty.
- The surface unit won't charge if the batteries are below 0 degrees Celsius.
