Blueye App for Android
The Blueye App for Android is still under active development. It is available as a public beta on Google Play. The app is compatible with Android 7.0 (Nougat) and newer. There is still some work left to achieve full feature parity between the iOS app and the Android app. The following features are missing from the Android app, and will be added early in 2019:
• Q1: Synchronization of dive logs.
• Q2: Import of video files from Blueye Pioneer Underwater Drone.
• Q2: 3D model illustrating the orientation and attitude of the underwater drone.
While waiting for video import to be implemented in the Android app you can use the Blueye File Transfer application to download video files to your Windows or macOS computer.
For Android, there is a wide variety of devices from different manufacturers available on the market. At Blueye we have tested against several phones and tablets from numerous manufacturers, but we cannot guarantee that the app will work on all devices. If you run into problems with your particular device, please let us know by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: Android One based phones are currently having some issues with the video stream, we do not recommend use these phones for now. Please have a look at the "What`s New" at Google Play to stay updated for the latest bug fixes and features.
