Blueye Cloud: Dive playback and analytics

Replay any dive directly in your browser — no specialized software, no plugins. Blueye Cloud synchronizes the map track, telemetry, video, photos, annotations, and multibeam sonar on one timeline.

Open a dive

Click a dive on a drone's page or on the dashboard. The dive page shows the drone that flew it, the dive metadata, and a telemetry summary: maximum depth, duration, average water temperature, and battery consumption. You can also download the original .bez file from here.

View the dive on the map

Select the Map tab to see the drone's movement track. Markers on the track show where photos and videos were captured, and the sidebar shows live telemetry for the selected point in time: depth, altitude, heading, speed, and position.

Color the track by depth

Select the Depth button. The track is color-coded from blue at the surface to red at the deepest points, so depth changes are visible at a glance.

Depth coloring makes the dive profile visible directly on the map.

Play back the dive

Press the Spacebar or drag the timeline slider at the bottom to play back the dive. The drone position, telemetry sidebar, and media are all synchronized to the timeline. The depth profile is drawn in the timeline, together with rows of markers for videos, audio, photos, and annotations.

Scrub the timeline to move through the dive; everything stays in sync.

Useful playback controls: change the playback speed (1x, 2x, and more), toggle the Sonar overlay on and off, and open photos and videos directly from their markers. You can edit a media file's description and tags right from the playback view.

Annotations

Annotations are typed, timestamped notes on a dive — for example a Finding, a Hazard, or a plain Comment. During playback they appear at the right moment as cards on the map, and they show as a separate row in the timeline so you can jump straight to them. Each annotation type has its own icon and color; Admins define the types under Settings > Annotation Types.

A Finding annotation appears on the map at the moment it was logged.

Multibeam sonar playback

If the dive includes a multibeam recording (.mbez), the sonar fan renders directly on the map during playback, time-synced with the rest of the dive data.

Share, edit, and export a dive

Every dive has its own actions in the toolbar:

• Share — create a secure link or invite people by email. Recipients can explore the dive in their browser without a Blueye account.
• Edit — give the dive a title and description, and set the operator and location.
• Add to project — include the dive in an inspection project (Pro).
• Export — download the dive data, including the original .bez file.
