Projects are available on the Professional plan.
A project groups multiple dives from the same job into one cohesive inspection report you can share with stakeholders — complete with map overlays, annotations, media, and a block-based report editor.

Create a project and add dives
- Go to the Projects tab.
- Select New project and give it a name.
- On the Dives tab, select Add dives to include the dives that belong to the job. Their media, tracks, and annotations follow automatically. You can also attach planned Missions to the project.

Set status, dates, and summary
The project Overview tab holds the project metadata your stakeholders see first: a status (for example Draft while you are still working), start and end dates, a summary, and tags. Keep the status up to date — it shows as a badge on the project everywhere.

Upload custom map layers
Give your project map context by uploading your own layers under the Custom layers tab. Supported formats include MBTiles, PMTiles, and PNG image tiles (for example bathymetry or sonar mosaics) and GeoJSON, TopoJSON, KML, and KMZ vector data. Toggle each layer on and off on the map with its On map switch.

Add image overlays
Upload a reference image — for example a top-down diagram of a ship — under Attachments, or drag and drop it onto the project map. Then scale, rotate, and position it until it lines up with your dive tracks, and adjust the opacity before saving.

Build the report
Use the block-based editor on the project page to draft your findings. Combine text blocks, media blocks with annotated photos and videos, and an optional AI report block (see AI assistance suite). Dive annotations can be rendered as chips or subtle references in the text. Annotation types — their names, icons, and colors — are defined per organization under Settings > Annotation Types.

Share with stakeholders
Select Share on the project to generate a secure link. Choose between Anyone with the link or Anyone logged in, or invite specific people by email. Recipients can explore the interactive report in their browser — no Blueye account required for link sharing.
