Plan semi-autonomous waypoint missions on a big screen, then run them from the Blueye App. The mission planner in Blueye Cloud lets you sketch waypoints and survey areas, simulate the mission, and export it to your drone.

Create a mission
- Go to the Missions tab.
- Select New mission.
- Give the mission a name. Set the default surge speed, heave speed, and circle of acceptance if needed.
A new, empty mission in the planner.
Add waypoints
Select the Waypoint tool and click directly on the map to place waypoints. Each waypoint has a name, exact coordinates, speed, and circle of acceptance. Enable Depth set point to make the drone hold a specific depth at that waypoint.
Click on the map to place a waypoint, then adjust its parameters in the panel.
Create a survey area
Use the Survey Area tool to draw a zone on the map. Blueye Cloud automatically generates a lawnmower search pattern that covers the area.
A generated lawnmower pattern over the survey area.
Adjust survey parameters
Tune the pattern in the side panel: heading, lane spacing, turnaround distance, speed, and depth. The pattern updates live on the map, and you can drag the corner vertices to reshape the area.
Heading and lane spacing control the shape and density of the survey pattern.
Review the mission timeline
The toolbar and bottom timeline show the simulated mission: number of waypoints, total distance, estimated duration, and the planned depth profile. Review these before you export.
The simulated depth profile and estimated duration for the planned mission.
Send the mission to your drone
Select Export to download the mission file, then import it in the Blueye App to run it on your drone. You can also Import existing missions into the planner to review or edit them.
